I would like to thank you all for an unforgettable day.
My favorite moment was seeing Ka Jun singing and Kai Leeng in that dress dancing so 'Asianly' cute, I didn't know she could dance so well. Also, let's not forget Shaun, and his silver team 'flaring' up the stage in blazing flames and not to forget Khaleel rocking the house with his heavy metal dance, and also Vicky trying to tango, tangling and dangling up and down, and last but certainly not least, Farhanali Junior, you know that's what the teachers are saying, in case I'm fired you can easily take over the class Farhan.

The moments were priceless from the very first hour from the Dragon Dance leading group six like a sport freak up and down the slopes trying to shoot hoops with Erol and guessing English Idioms with Olive, running cars out of the garage and having Hui Shi with that weird phrase trying to memorize who is cute, and who is handsome and who is Macho? like Macho man Randy Savage.
Finally, we all had a great day and we have the Seniors to thank for their weeks of hard work and preparation. I would like to thank you all from Szin Dee to Cheah Sin on the stage, and Alex to Adam down the stage, and to Min Chien to Aun Chi and Daniel to Shirley, Ku Joon to Pui Man and Yap Min to Eugene for your wonderful performances and your warm-hearted effort in making sure everything goes 'glamorously' well. I appreciate everything that you did, all from the candles at the beginning to the the bunny at the end, thank you guys.

During Teacher's Day, I had performed a dance act name 'Shuffle' on the stage with my dear classmates. Our class Sr 5 Hope was performed a drama show and this drama was reflected our daily school's life with our teacher...
Although it is already the deadline and we needed to perform our drama soon,but my 'comorade' and I have not prepared our dance act yet! So, we decided to take our last chance which is train our dance act in the TOILET! ( I know this sound disgusting but we have no choice but fight to be a survivor! )
At last, our performance had finished successfully until the end of the clebration... After performed, I had never felt refreshing and the brand new breeze in the air like this before... It was a success, everybody did a very good job! Thank for everyone on the stage and everyone who supported us under the stage. Thank you! And Jason never forget to say Happy Teacher's Day to every teacher in school!

Well, our school had just celebrated the Teacher's Day on 15th of May, 2009. So, my class, Sr 5 Hope had performed a drama to showed our appreciation to all the teachers.
ReplyDeleteOn that day, I had 2 performances which is the modern dance of 5 Hope's drama, and also the modern dance with the group name called ' The Mask '. It was the first time i performed on the stage since i was kindi, it was very nervous.
The performance that attracted me was Calvin's ICT presentation, Zhen Lock and the gang with their sunglasses - Pretty Boys, our class drama and so on. Their performance were really awesome!
The performance was started at around 12 something, and end up at 3.45. At the end of the performance, Kah Jun had leaded all the Sr 5 students to sing and wish all the teachers Happy Teachers Day. It was quite touching at that moment.
At the end, i wanted to thanks all the teachers that willing to watch our performance. And also, Sr 5 Hope, you guys did a great job. Without you guys, impossible the drama would succeed.

Last Friday, our school had celebrated Teacher’s Day in our own hall, The Hall Of Character. Since this year is my last year at my secondary school life, I had decided to perform a dance at teacher’day. Haha…a study student became a dancer!!!
ReplyDeleteEarly morning about 9 a.m, senior 5 students had organized many games for students and teachers to have fun together, but only for senior 5 students involved in the games only. There’s a game called “ Hide and Seek”. The group leader had to follow the instructions to collect checkpoints. Everyone had fun within this period and senior 5 students also had a lunch with teachers.
After that, all the students and teachers had went into the hall before 12p.m. The performances was started at 12.30p.m. I was getting nervous and nervous because this was the first that I had a performances. My dance team and I will performing a modern dance, called “Cheng Yao”.
My class, senior 5 hope also had performed a drama and shuffle dance on that day. Thus, we had combined and performed together. After the shuffle dance, me and my team had to ready for next dance. I was nervous and scared later the performances was spoiled by my dance mistake. But, I told myself and had took off all the scares and worries inside me, and JUST DANCE!!!
Lucky, the drama was very successful and everyone of senior 5 hope also rejoiced for what they had done for the drama. After we back from school, some of my friends from senior 5 hope had went out to celebrate our successful drama. Everyone was very happy and me too.
Nevertheless, last Friday was the memorable for me because this is the last year that I celebrate teacher’s day at this school. So, I wish every teacher at this school and teachers that had taught me before, Happy Teacher’s Day and very thank you that u had been teaching me at my this entire whole life. =)
And……..Happy Birthday to my beloved English teacher, Mr. Ali !!! Sorry for late wish….hehe :P

In the early morning,our class student came to school with a very excited mood.
The performers was keep practised so that they can done it perfectly..
After the assemble,the students and teachers was played the game together.i was very luckily that selected in group 6, with mr.ali.
During the game,all of us was very helpful to gain the challenge.Finally,our team won third prize.
After the catering,its the time for all the performance.i think thats was almost 20 group performe on that day.
Every performer really done a good job and all the dancing, singing were perfect.
they put a lot of effort in it.
so,i hope that the teachers like it.

Well, as far as you're concerned Teachers' Day was held in Sekolah Seri Suria last Friday. Teachers' Day resembles a day where we students present our gratitude and appreciations to the teacher regardless whether it's in money form or material. Finally, our hard works were paid off. The preparations we had before this, the whole get-along-with-your-team-to-make-this-event-successful thing. In order to keep this event run smooth and well, we have tried our best to make it the most wonderful event for the year. Eventually, it requires a vast amount of patience and endurance so goes to daily and social skills.
ReplyDeleteWe started the day with the morning assembly then it’s the games. The first game was “dragon head dragon tail” and I couldn’t forget the moment where I saw Mr.Yu holding the students’ hands tight and ran like a crazy fellow to get to the required place. And never will I forget the harsh smash Mr.Ali gave me on my back which almost broke my spinal cord, nah just kidding. Needless to say, I wasn’t in a good mood in the morning as I was worried that the whole programme will go wrong that day. But it all ended when I saw that the teachers really enjoyed themselves competing against each other.
Moving on to the performance part, the whole opening ceremony was superb as the theme for the day was “GLAMOROUS” with the song playing “Halo” by Beyonce and lighting up the candles. The whole afternoon went well and rather smooth but there were some technical problems in the middle but still we managed to keep the whole thing up and successful. The grand finale was the bomb and a last minute decision. The whole Form 5 went up on stage and dedicated a song for the teachers. Kah Jun did an awesome job in singing though and I almost burst into tears while singing together with my buddies.
Last but not least, hereby I would like to say thank you to all the teachers for trusting us that we'll make this event successful and sorry for all the troubles and mishaps we've caused. On that day, I’ve learnt the true meaning of friendship and saw the satisfaction that was written on the teachers’ faces as it really made my heart melt. Again I would like to say thank you to all the teachers for believing in us and you guys really made the best out of us.

Well, every year our school use to celebrate teachers day, no exceptional for this year.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, this year teachers day was organized by us form 5 though it is our last year performing and participating.This whole thing starts from the beginning of the day.First ,the teachers had to assemble at the assembly at the foyer c while we had to get ready waiting for the teachers to come down by 9 am right after their assembly.We heard them singing and cheering , wanted to go up and join them. The day before, i was still worried that this will not happen as what i planned and it will be a mess . However , it succeeded and it was unexpected.The games was played by the form 5 students and the teachers.First of all , they played the dragon head dragon tail.Mr yu and gang were just right in front of us, they were so excited till minyee instructed them to play.He was holding their hands tightly and were ready to run . There they go. I just couldnt forget that moment the guys ran so fast.After that they played 1-100.The teachers and the group members got punished by the students such as kahjun , peiying , james and yenfoo.After that they had their lunch in the foyer c.
In addition, teachers were all gathered to the hall to enjoy the performance.Something wrong had happened during our performance and I was like so down .I was so unhappy and sad with myself.During our dance,I wonder whats wrong with me, keep forgetting steps , blur of what i am doing.
Nevertheless, after that the guys were like already high after their dance.They like had ate their pills,keep dancing like nobody business.I was just just joking. They do not eat pills.It was really fun after that.I remember the moment the boys were following shuffling with them on the stage and mukwen led them half of the hall.It was so funny. And also, we sang along with kahjun.
Finally,we still had time after the last performance.Therefore,we decided to get all the form 5 on the stage and dedicate the last song 至少还有你 sang by kah jun before for our
lovely, beloved,charming,adorable,handsome and
pretty teachers.
Last but not least, it was still success and thanks for all the hard work of form 5 and teachers.It was so meaningful and memorable.I think I will keep it by heart.Hope all of you love it.And,we love you, teachers. Happy teachers day.

ReplyDeleteAs usual teacher's day is celebrate everyear.I feel very annoying because i get a tough job in this year teacher's day.Usually on this day,i will sleep at home until afternoon and wont attend anything regarding in teacher'day.Unfortunately,i have a tough job as i said just now and suhao force me dance in perfomance because he said last year no dance ,it will regret in future wow.When we know we want dance in teacher'day and we practice hardly.Obviously,we hope can gave a surprise to teacher.I think every student in this year want to gave suprise to teacher.

After that the games,i and my gang have some fun in toilet too hehex.While we have fun,teacher are eating their lunch.In additonal,all the perfomances are prepared for the perfomance.Before the ceremony start,i and my friend have take some picture with other perfomances.we feel veri enjoy while taking picture and make up ourself haha........When we know is out turn to perfom ,we feel nervous and

Last Friday was one of the best days this year for me, and, I’ sure most of you will say the same. for most of these things I get the best place to watch it from camera man so I get to it form what every angle I want . Now that was the performance which I must say again it was very good.

Last Friday was one heck of a day!
ReplyDeleteIt was Teacher's Day and it's finally our turn as Senior 5 to prepare this auspicious day. To celebrate this day, the whole senior section, mainly the Senior 5's put in a whole lot of effort in preparing and decorating this function and because of that, the event went as planned. It was more than successful. It was the best day for Mr Ali and im sure for all the teachers as well.
All and all, the whole experience was just memorable and something worth cherishing for the rest of our lives. Kah Jun's finale was one of the performances that probably really touched all the teacher's heart. With that, i hope everyone carried this little memory everyday and never forget what fun and pleasure we enjoyed this day.

On the 15th of May, our school celebrated Teacher's Day. I would say that it was one of the best Teacher's Day celebration we had in many years. It was a very grand celebration for the teachers having witness the way they come in to the Hall of Character with students escorting each teacher holding candles feeling like kings and queens.
ReplyDeleteAll the exciting activities started when the students are asked to assemble in foyer C. There, the teachers presented a very nice song to the students before the fun began. Then, the senior 5 students are allowed to leave the foyer to prepare the games.
The true identity of the teachers were revealed when they played the first game, "Dragon head, dragon tail". During the game, Mr. Yu was the 'man of the match' in football terms when he led his team through the game. He was the first to react to the commands and ran as if he had never ran before.
Then, during the next game which was "1-100", the teachers finally got something they have not gotten for a long long time, the PUNISHMENT. The teachers were divided into several groups and are asked to guess a number within 1 to 100. If they guess it correctly, they will be punished with a whack in their butt using an air-blown hammer. Mr Amin and Mr Karim were the funniest ones. Mr Amin was practically screaming like a little girl and holding on to the pillar while Mr. Karim took Kah Jun's name down for demerit points. It was hilarious.
Moving on, the students were paired with a teacher each and played the next game "Hide and Seek" in which the group leader will have to lead the group members throughout a few extremely challenging game stations. I was helping Hon Leong taking charge of station 3 which was the IQ test. Mr. Ying was probably with the highest IQ because he answered most of the question for his group.
After that, at around 11.30, Mr Subra gave us the signal to start the lunch which was catered specially for the teachers and the Sr5 students. The students and the teachers had a chance to mingle around and to know each other better.
Almost an hour later, the teachers were ordered to proceed to the Hall of Character. There, the teachers received a very grand welcome from the students. Each teacher were holding a candle and was escorted by a student through the red carpet and to their seating position. I'm pretty sure that the teachers felt like kings and queens that particular moment. There, they witness twenty brilliant performances sincerely by the students. I took part by joining the Handsome Girls group which was a modern dance.
At around 3.30, it was the end of all the performances. All the Sr5's were asked to go on stage for the last song in which Kah Jun led all of us with his tremendously beautiful singing. Truly it was the golden moment and it was quite touching to think that we will be leaving the school after this final year.

last friday we celebrate teacher day at the hall of fame. it was very memorable to us all. During this day, is our time to show our graduation to our teacher who had been teaching us for quite some time. Then, we also get to show what we, student good at such as dancing, singing and etc.
ReplyDeleteas for me, i practice my dance move. I got two performance to prepare, one is my dance club and the other one is with my classmate. Although is exhausted, but it's worth it for our teacher.
During this day, it is vert memorable to us all and we will remember it at the bottom of our heart and wish u all will not forget us as well.

Wow, here we go...
ReplyDeleteIts a very memorable day to all the teachers and students. I can say that All form 5's had done a marvelous job.
Its a cloudy day but its hot.
All the form 5's student had reached the school early to get prepared.
First of all, I went to block B to get prepared and a short briefing from Cheah Sin.
We were told where we are going to be and what we are going to do.
I were given the responsibility to in charge STATION 7. I'm incharged of the Passing Message. Mr.Ali was one of the craziest guy who played the game. Haha...No offence Mr.Ali.
His group got number 2 i think.
Then, after that sweaty activities. The teachers went to change into a much more formal uniform and went down to foyer C to have their lunch. I can't eat any one of it because i need to get prepared for my singing performance. So , I end up eating vegetables only. Then, All the performers started to get ready at backstage. All were busy taking pictures,make-up and dressing up . They're all trying to prepare their very best for the teachers. Not long, The teachers arrived. Its a very GRAND opening. So, after the teachers had settled down, students began to come out from the back stage to give out the souvenirs.
Well, the most memorable things had happened on that day is where all the form 5's sang together with me. Specially for the teachers.
Mr.Ali, for your information. The song i sang is named "At least there's stiil you". The song means that I can give up everything in my life, But there's still you with me.
Haha..

I were stationed with Daniel to play the IQ questions. All the teacher had no idea what the question is asking..haha...
Thn, After the games, I went up with my friends to get change and prepared.
We went to the toilet to set up our hair. It took us almost the whole lunch hour.Haha..
We took some pictures too.
Later that, I went to the HALL OF CHARACTER to get prepared. Before we go up the stage to perform, I practiced my dance step with my friends. I'm getting nervous.Haha.
Its time for me to go up the stage. My team had danced their best and i am very happy with what we had done.I hope Mr.Ali is happy with our performance.
Lastly, Happy BELATED birthday wish to Mr.Ali.

ReplyDeleteBut teachers are very important for every single one of us .. So last Friday we had a celebration for all the teacher at 'HOC'. Firstly we started with the games activities .. Form 5 student are all include in this activities because it was our last year staying in Seri suria ... the first games was 'dragon head and tail' (maybe) .. all the student and teacher are being crazy in this games because we had to run a lot .. but finally ... i forgot who was the winner =_= ..
Moving on, the students were paired with a teacher each and played the next game "treasure finding" (I guess so ) in which the group leader will have to lead the group members throughout a few extremely challenging game stations. My team was lead by Mr. Yu and we have challenging all the station with high speed like ' fast and furious ' but we still lose because the teacher was running too slow .. Eww .. by the way we still get second prize ..
After that , the teachers were ordered to proceed to the Hall of Character. Then all the student was cheering but i cant saw what happen cause im far away and all the student were standing on the chairs .. Oh god ..
Then all the teacher take a seat .. and all the professional dancer and singer were prepare to break the stage ..
But Sadly im not include in any performance maybe because I’m not talented xD ... I’m sitting beside Mr. Yap and watching the Great Show... All the performance are wonderful especially SR 5 GRACE .. WOOHOO .. they did a VERY GREAT JOB .. But my favorites was Mr. Jek mun ( Kah Jun ) singing a wonderful song with perfect ANGEL voice xD ...it was a very memorable day ... Mr Ali , are you enjoy our performance too ?

Last friday was the unexceptional celebration for the beloved teachers.As we know, it was mainly organized by the form 5's student, US! though its our last chance to show our love, care and thanks to our beloved teachers.
ReplyDeleteEventually i didn't know what happen in the very beginning of the celebration.I'm just so tensed on the decoration part.The day before the celebration,i myself, james and some of my partner helped to hang up the decoration on the stage.i'm so glad that the decoration is just as fine as what i though of! =D *credits to us*
Well,when the games started, it is barely under control!the teachers were behaving just like us! omg!it is so hard to queue them up!Soon,the very first game stared with "dragon head dragon tail".Unfortunately, the Mr.Yu was my team opponent!It seems easy to defeat them in the very beginning.BUT, it turned out the other way round!WE*with the presence of Mr Ali* was defeated by them!nah~joking^^ Anyhow,it's just a game right?as long as the teachers and the students enjoyed the moment! Followed up by the game"1 to 100",all i could recalled was the teachers were smashed by the student with a hammer!no kidding!it's a HAMMER!well,it's a PVC balloon hammer =P! on the other hand, kah jun and i were asked to in charged at station 7,which i have to make the teachers to memorize the weird phrase!it's so fun to confused the teachers!!!*bwahahaha!*Honestly to Mr.Ali,it was the easiest phrase among the others!=x
After that,i rushed to the hall and continued my decoration with my friends while the teachers were hustling around like nobody's business =D!Due to the busyness,i never get to enjoy the lunch at foyer C with my beloved teachers.That's the part i deeply felt regret.
However,moving on to the performance part,the opening ceremony was great with the superb sound effects and the wonderful lighted candles brought in by every single teachers when they entered the hall of character."GLAMOROUS".This word explained everything from the very beginning of the opening ceremony till the very end of the performances brought by the students from Sekolah Seri Suria.
Last but not least,i'll like to emphasized that i truly thanks all the teachers who had given me the power of reasoning and enriched me with knowledge.HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!

ReplyDeleteLast friday was teacher's day. Everyone did a great job to make this day a success. This year I was called to help in the technical department. In the morning , I followed Calvin to the library to finish up the flash animation for the presentation later in the hall. Then , around 11:30 we went to the control room to set up the systems. After that, i met up with the cadets and waited for the teacher's to come and escort them into the Hall of Character as Pn. Siti reqeusted it. As soon as we enter the hall. The song "Halo" by Beyonce was played and all the student cheers for they beloved teachers. After the march I went back to the control room and get ready for the next event which is the flash animation presentation. Unfortunately , the projector was not functioning properly. We're force to call Mr.Ganesh and Mr. Praba to help us. But we are unable to solve the problem yet. So we've decided to go on with the first perfomance first. Soon after not long we found out that the problem came from a disconnected cable to the projector underneath the table. Stupid right? someone or something might have tripped over the cable forcing it to disconnect. So after the first perfomance was done, we played our animation. The crowd laugh and clapped especially when the part where Mr. Yu came in as a shark in the animation. Then we continued with all our performances. My class performance was a skit titled "We are not Hopeless" i'm the one who was controlling the sound effect and the visual for the skit. Everything when so well until I accidently click the mouse when my class was in the middle of a dance. It was so embarrassing. The last perfomance was amazing where as Ms.Olive and Mr.Ali took part in it. It was a memorable day for me because this is the last year I am celebrating teacher's day i this school. After school ends, me and my class went for a dinner to celebrate the success of our performance( almost perfect if you know what I mean).

ReplyDeleteI led a group of Sr.4 students to organize a school event last year.Although we can't do well as what school expected,the students had put in their effort.I can feel that.That is not their false at all.At least,that is an experience for them.I have to take responsible of it.Anyway,I can see how enthusiasm they would like to join school event especially in organizing an event.
I was not handling anything for this
teachers' day event.I tried to pretend as a stranger.At last, I realized that I cheated myself.In fact,I care about it.I told Puan Siti,I gave comments as I care!
At last, I joined a perfomance.At the last 5 minutes,I and my students went to exam unit to sing for the audition.
On that day,I gave some "lucky stars" to my students to encourage them.Farhan came and said," Thank you for teaching me physics last year."It was so suprised.He was one of my students who I always scold him during my lesson.I told him,"Today, you are my teacher.I am your student.But,only for today.Ha..."
I was calm and peace in joining the games.I told myself, I was not looking for the prize.This a time to relax myself and have a fun with the teachers and students.Just relax and enjoy myself. The students punished Mr.Karim,Mr.Yu and other teachers.I don't why our group was lucky.During the game section, our group came to a station first.Yik Wai said the other group came first.I shouted,"We come first!"I think he tried to help the other group.I cared not because I want to get the prize.I cared because ours' members tried hardly to reach the station.I have to say something for my group.
After watching the perfomances,I left the Hall of Character silently.I found that students enjoyed themselves.Normally,I choose to leave at the peak section.When the students need me, I will appear suddenly and do something.When they were enjoying, I will choose to leave silently.I felt strange.Nobody came and want to take photos with me.They won't do that.Until i still don't know the answer.Maybe I am not handsome enough.
Before leaving the school, Zi Kang came and said'"Happy Teachers' Day."He mentioned,"It is real.It reallly come out from my heart."I said,"Thank you.I can understand."
I am not hoping to become a famous teacher.Everone knows me.Not like that.They are afraid and listen to me because i am famous or fierce.I just want to become a superman teacher.If nothing happens,superman will act as Clerk.Nobody know him.He just do his job.If something happens,Clerk will change his cloth and shows his identity as a superman.I prefer like this.
What I expect from my students are just
sincere and respect.They can talk to me and we can communicate.I am not transparent when entering their class.......Thank you for yours' effort.Happy Teachers' Day.

ReplyDeleteOn the 15th of May year 2009 , We, Surians had celebrated Teachers' Day before other schools did. Before the celebration starts , me and my friends were busy planning every single little event for the teachers to enjoy themselves. And it end up getting numerous feedback that the celebrations was going quite well , and we are quite satisfied with these feedback. In the morning , the teachers had some games which is the " Dragon Head, Dragon Tail" , " 1-100" and most importantly , "Treasure Hunt". Most of the teachers enjoyed themselves very much during the game "Dragon Head, Dragon Tail" as Mr.Yu was the funniest one. As in the game "1-100" , some of the teachers were being WHACKED by a very huge hammer ! (: sorry teachers ! and for the treasure hunt game , me and shirley were asked to in charge station 5 which is the passing of balloon. Teachers had to pass the balloon to all the team mates before the balloon burst ! Surprisingly , teamwork can be seen in teacher during this stage ! after games , teachers were asked to change their clothes related to the theme of the day-GLAMOROUS for lunch.
After the "glamorous" lunch , teachers were then escorted to the hall of character to enjoy the performances prepared by all of the students. Every teacher was welcomed very grandly with the red carpets and candles holding on their hands. Then, the performances going on quite well also and i bet that every teacher is having so much fun that day ! As for me, I took part in a dance and i hope mr.ali would enjoy it (:. The performances then ended with a grand finale with kah jun leading all the Senior 5's to dedicate a song to all of the beloved teachers. At 3.30 pm , teachers'day celebration ended with full of joy. Last but not least , Happy Teachers' Day to all of the teachers !

ReplyDeleteOn this day, we,students are to show our appreciation,gratitude and most of all,love to our teachers.Teachers are also known as educators.What do they do? Well, their job is to educate us of course.However, this is only a responsibility and nothing can beat their passion and urge to share their knowledge with us all. At the same time, they'll do their best to mold us all into individuals who are capable to make the world a better place in the future.
As we all surians know, every year our school will definitely celebrate Teachers' Day. With no surprise, the Senior 5s are to plan,participate and try to make it a wondrous day for our teachers. This year is no exception.
Before the eventful day, the committee members were planning and making calls to compile informations on how much the budget would be. Then, the Senior 5s were to contribute a total of RM30 each to hit the total amount of money needed. There were of course, controversies among the committee members but we all still managed to work everything out. 24 hours a day seemed so little for us as there were so much to do.We had to go shopping for items,practise the performances and at the same time we had to keep our studies as our main priority.
Finally, after many ups and downs , the day we've all been waiting for have arrived. We started the day with the games. There were the game named "Dragon Head and Dragon Tail", there was also the "Tresure Hunt". After the exciting games, teachers gathered at block C for a catered lunch. Then, everyone proceded to the "Hall of Character" where the main surprises are.
The decorations in the hall were awesome. It was set up by the decoration committees. There were the cake-cutting session and there was a video set up by Calvin which was hilarious. Other than that, there was also the prize giving ceremonies. Of course, there were performances prepared by the students as well for the teachers' amusement.
All in all, it was a great success. Even though there were some techinical issues, still it did not stop the day from being one of the best days ever in Seri Suria.

ReplyDeleteWhat hasn't been said about Teachers' Day? With 27 comments ahead of me, you can imagine poor ol' me being extremely hard pressed to relate anything worth reading about the 15th of May.
I could say it was a day full of fun and laughter. Not the commercalized fun that involves Tiger beer and bongs. Not the sort that require people to get naked and dance on top of tables.
It was a day of pure fun, and for building bonds between students and their teachers, most notably the Senior 5s as this is our last year.
I shall look back with fondness on Teachers' Day 2009 as a testament to the creativity and sheer awesomeness of my friends and educators. The Senior 5s put in more than everything they had to offer; 200% of their energy to make it all a success. The games, the food, Glamour Hour... it came together beautifully. Calvin's video was hilarious and the performances were simply rivetting.
The looks on everyone's faces and the energy crackling in the air was like an elixir to the school which to me, promised an even greater year ahead of us.Why do I say this? Simply cos I know. I was there at most of the practice sessions to observe from the sidelines. I watched every performance grow from ideas to fully fledged masterpieces. Being a humble Master of Ceremony, I was held in awe of how much preparation had to go into the dances, for I couldn't comprehend the myriad elements that make up such a performance. Speaking is easy whether or not it's spontaneous.
I'm just really glad that it was such a huge success.
Even so, technical glitches and an apparent lack of coordination between the committee and the MCs did lead to some unnecessary delays and problems... EVEN SO, Senior 5s showed their true steel and carried it through.
All in all, Teachers' Day 2009 was like a waltz. It had three parts to it: War, Peace and Revolution. And for one day, all three carried positive meanings.

On the 15th of May , Friday, also known as the most memorable day . The day was a Teachers’ Day. It was held in our school, Sekolah Seri Suria. The main ideal we celebrating teachers’ day is because that we can really show our love , care and also thankful to our beloved teachers.
ReplyDeleteLets begin my feelings throughout the day…
Firstly, we teachers and students had to gather at the Foyer C for more information. Then, we are asked to go to the Foyer B as the games are set there. So, we headed to the Foyer B with teachers. The first game was called *dragon head, dragon tail* sounds kind of funny. I’m blur what game is this because I’ve never tried it before. Min Yee did give us the instructions of it so we could manage to play the game. Dragon head won twice in the end while dragon tail just once. I’m worried about the teachers who are upper-age because they get exhausted very easily when they played the game.
Next, moving forward to the other game known as 1 to 100. The game was simple and therefore there’s a punishment for the one loses. The punishment was being hit by a so called**.hammer balloon. It was quite funny as well when Mr.Karim took out his flashcards and start pending down kahjun’s name because he tried to hit him with that hammer. Overall, the game was funny more than exciting.
Then followed by , ahh yes! The Treasure Hunt! The game was divided into 8 groups in an earlier time. Each of the group gets a sorta mind map as there’s directions on it to tell us where to go and given eggs to hold it safely throughout the whole game. The game was started around 10.30 and it was quite sunny. My group managed to get the second place while Kar Yen’s group won the first. Awww sad to hear . At least we tried our best to solve the games and went through it.
After the games goes off , it is time to have lunch. Everyone is rushing and running back to their base and got changed into their outfits and get ready to have lunch. While we queuing up some of the teachers started to cut lines and pushes here and there. It was so embarrassing for us thou . But managed to prevent laughing. Busy busy busy all of them were eating . Clock ticks . Around hmm. 12.15 everyone are called to assemble to the HOC that’s our hall to watch the performances coming up.
The hall is then crowd full with students noise and so teachers because they were so intent to watch our performances. Actually, I do have a group dancing. The dancing group was then named Pretty Boys < no idea why we thought of that. We have 8 members in that team and so the first time to step on the dance floor. Nervous Nervous Nervous. When our group was being called everyone cheers for us especially the form 5’s. Thank You guys :D. After the dance it was so relaxed and it satisfied us because we didn’t actually practice it well enough. Move on, we had the Grand Final singing by Kah Jun entitled *at least there is still you* in Chinese. The song was meant to dedicate to the teachers and also the students. The song is so meaningful if u were there to listen.
And also, we met Ms.Woo after the performances. She came!! Wow . haha. We really do miss her very much. Also, chit chat and took some photos with her. She cut her hair too to a shorter ones like pei ying , cheah sin and pui mun’s kind. Roll floor and laugh.
Last but not least I would like to say something to my beloved teachers,
You taught us how to walk from the beginning …
And remembering us how to fly till the end …

ReplyDeleteLast Friday which was on 15th of May,our school had celebrated the day which we celebrates four our teachers,Happy Teacher's Day,for me,it was an unforgettable event that had happened to me before.
ReplyDeleteWell,early in the morning,all teacher's and students were gathering at the Foyer C,Calvin gave a wonderful speech regearding on the Teacher's Day.After that,we all went to block B for games.I don;t have many to say about the games beacouse i'm not included into the group.
Then we had our lunch at foyer C.It was delicious though.Then all the Muslims went for the prayers before we go for the Hall.Nearly 2 p.m,we reached the school and rushly getting ready for our performance.For me,I'm doing two performance during that day,shuffle and drama.
The shuffle performance was the performance that I'll never forgets.It turns out many of Surians do like shuffle.The interesting part was where I invited Mr.Yu to come up to stage and shuffle.During the musics are getting to our nerves,Mr.Yu asked me 'Hey,how to shuffle?teach me fast!!'He's not a bad shuffler though.
Next was our Sr.5 Hope performance.During that drama,we performed the shuffle during the Mr.Ali's class.While Mr.Ali(Farhan)came to our class,Kar Lock and I were carefully sneaking out the class(with the Pink Panther music).Then Pn.Maimunah(Agnes)caught us skipping classes.We were apologising for skipping classes,then she do the Pn.Maimunah's 'SORRY' slogan.That part made Pn Maimunah,Pn.Siti and Mr.Yu laughed.Then comes the modern dance which it was led by our only Jie Tong.The last part was where all the Sr.5 Hope gathered on the stage and sang 'Kenangan Terindah'.
It was a memorable event,especially for Sr.5.I would like to said again,Happy Teacher's Day!!Without teachers,there's no us.
p/s:sorry for the late wish,Happy Birthday Mr.Ali,may you always be happy and don't forget us in the future,

I am COMING ^^
ehh on the 15th of May 2009, we celebrate our teacher day's in our school. On that day,all our teachers look sporting. Most of them prepare sunglasses and umbrella la.. They so scare of sun..They wan so them how sporting they are.. Unbeliavable..ding ding ding ding...
So we started our days with some games. First of all, we play a wonderful game(dragon head and dragon tail)--->cuttie name...XD.. and we gain more relationship between teacher and student. Mr yu leads us by running here n there like nuts..With the effort we did we won the game..WOOTZ...so happy ^^..In my life just the only time i won a game lolx...unforgetable day.
So,we continue our days wif a CUTE FUNNY N EXCITNG game( Treasure Hunt).LOLX..I wan put in team 2 where my team leads by Wen Hau N Mr Yu. When some1( dunno is who) beeps smth.BEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPP..thn we started run run run run run...on tat time oni thinking about run only..looks like our sportday 100m competition*
we just took a 15 min to finish the game. When we started walking up to block B..we saw 1 team rushing there..so Kin Leong started running to Cheah Sin..(like a boy chasing a girl)..so romantic looo.. but last we get 2nd place LOLX..saddddyyyy...
So we went for some 18++ games..at the toilet...shhhhhh...stop here LOLX... after that we went for de lunch thn we started styling our hair n make up at the hall toilet...After finish styling, we started taking photo everywhere. So happy can take photo.xP..err thn de no8 or 9 performance..we went to the stage for our dance ^^..so nervous n excited tat time..Yen foo tell me not to scare because if we dance ler thn gt many girl will know us. So i believe him but why dun has de?...saddd Yen foo u bluff me haixxx..friends wa..LOLX..after finish the dance, we rest awhile thn we continue dancing under the stage...Look so high tat time...xP..after the performance we ended up with a song sang by Kah Jun. just a angel voice..where to hear angel voice?..ONI IN 15th May 2009 In seri suria. HAHHAX i heard angel singing..blek..do u?..
Last but not least, We meet up our EX Math teacher and she look so kawaii(cute in japanese). MR Ali u should seen her right?..u will regret if you never saw her LOLX..joking neh*bleksss..xP..err..we take many photos for our future. So we can think back about tat day in the future.^^..its was a most memorable exciting and enjoyable day for me in my life..XP..Thanks guyx..

ReplyDeleteEveryone looks like prefer to tell their interesting and enjoyable story.Everyone tries to try to perform their "most interesting story".Eventually, it came out with a "blow water king".
If you didn't tell me, I don't know yours' ex-math teacher is so cute on that day.Now the name of teachers exist becomes more frequent.Everyone tried to describe how happy and amazing of their teachers.Ha.....
Just recall something, share with you again.On that day,I saw Yen Foo stood on the stage and asked the teachers went to the HOC after having lunch.That was the first time where I saw him spoke in English in front of the teachers.It sparked me mind to recall the first time,I taught in English in front of my students.That was unforgetable teaching experience in my life.On that moment,he was like me.....
